Sticky Tomato Chicken Skewers
We reckon some things just taste better on a stick! These Sticky Tomato Chicken Skewers made with our limited-edition Wattie’s X Four Square Tomato Sauce are a delicious dish to add to your summer BBQ rotation.

½ cup Wattie’s x Four Square tomato sauce

2 Tbsp brown sugar

2 Tbsp Highmark soy sauce

1 Tbsp vinegar (such as rice wine or white wine vinegar)

4 cloves garlic, minced

6 chicken thighs, diced 2cm

6x wooden skewers, soaked in water

Preheat your barbeque on high.

Whisk the tomato sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar and garlic together until combined.

Add the diced chicken to a large bowl and pour over half of the tomato sauce marinade. Season lightly with salt and toss to coat.

Thread the chicken onto the skewers.

Barbeque for 8-10 minutes, turning often, until charred and the chicken is cooked through. Brush the remaining marinade over the skewers as they cook.
